Romanticizing

And sometimes “I miss you” just means, "I am missing from me." A part of me, that I gave to you. You tucked it in your pocket. Safe near your heart. But I wish you wear it on your sleeve, as you stroll through Champs-Elysées. I could do with the smell of coffee as you pass by the cafes. Or the dry and woody aroma, as you swirl your wine. But be careful, as you stagger headily through the cobbled streets. Don’t drop that piece of me.

Sweet Nothings

On my recent trip to Pushkar I learnt, its can be quite simple not to plan things.A trip minus the anxiety.True story.   Dolce far niente or the Italian concept of 'doing nothing'.Enjoying doing nothing can be quite a challenge as it can be mistaken for sitting idle. But the sweet experience of not having a plan or not keeping track of time and just letting the moment engulf you is ecstatic.A void moment but truly yours. As quoted by an Italian, "Dolce far niente is this sensation when you sit at a bar in an Italian village while you drink coffee and watch the passersby. Time slows and for half a second you admire life in its simplicity, and you only want to smile.Nothingness is that pleasant experience of enjoying time going by, letting your thoughts taking over."Grateful for this pause ❤️
